Book Your Complete Birth Package
for an investment of: $1,500

Before Birth

Prenatal Sessions are a great time for me to connect with you. Meet your Partner, and anyone else who'll be present during your baby's birth. We'll work together to create your Birth Plan - more appropriately called your Birth Wishes & Goals. We'll go over any questions and address any concerns with Evidence Based Information. We'll cover breathing & relaxation techniques, and discuss various positions for labor and childbirth.
In addition, first time parents (and those who may need a refresher) can schedule a "Newborn Care Crash-Course" where we'll practice: Feeding, diapering, baby wearing, bathing, burping, cord care, swaddling and soothing your new bundle of joy!

Planning a Home Birth?

You have the right to choose where, and how you bring your baby into this world. Freedom of choice is important, especially if you've had negative experiences in a medical setting. The choice to birth at home is a deeply personal decision - and one that I whole heartedly support. Birthing at home offers certain benefits that aren't available in a medical facility. Home birth :

  • Provides more privacy. While the trend in hospitals, and other birth environments is to include lots of people, often strangers, medical students, etc.. some women prefer a more private, intimate setting during childbirth.

  • Allows control over support personnel and visitors. When you give birth in a hospital, there are often limits on who can be in the room during and after delivery. Children, for instance typically are not allowed to attend a hospital birth. Maybe you'd like older siblings to be involved, or maybe you want certain family members in attendance. When choosing a home birth, you decide who can come.

  • Minimizes the medicalization of birth. Maybe you'd like to avoid unnecessary interventions like routine IV's, continuous fetal monitoring, cervical checks, induction medication, etc.. Birth is a normal, physiological event that can be hindered by: Induction or augmentation of labor. An unsupportive environment, ie: bright lights, cold room, lack of privacy, multiple providers, lack of support. Time constraints. Restriction of Movement. Dehydration & Nutritional Deprivation. Vacuum extraction and / or forceps usage. Episiotomy. Immediate cord clamping. Separation of the mother and infant; and / or Any situation in which the mother feels threatened or unsupported.

  • Can prevent trauma and feelings of dissatisfaction towards your birth. Perhaps you've had a bad experience with doctors or hospitals in the past. Maybe you felt disrespected, pressured, bullied or unheard and now you prefer to remain in the relative safety, familiarity and comfort of your own home.

Whatever your reason for choosing home birth, I support you!

Birthing at home can be an empowering, fulfilling experience that allows you the freedom to tune into your body, follow your intuition and guide your birthing process how you see fit. To ease your planning, home birth clients can opt to pre-order home birth supplies. Additional charges apply.

As a Doula, I do not perform any clinical procedures. If you are looking for medical support, consider enlisting a midwife. *
