About Me

Welcome. My name is Sara, and I'm a Christian Birth and Bereavement Doula  serving women across Rhode Island. I'm the proud wife of a U.S. Army Veteran. Together, my husband and I have navigated the many highs and lows of growing our family. Some of our sweet babies are in Heaven, and we're blessed to be raising five beautiful daughters, whom we adore. Mothering them has been the greatest honor of my life. Since becoming a Mom, I've learned so much about pregnancy, childbirth and parenting in general. I believe the call to Motherhood is a sacred path, but it can also be a somewhat challenging one. No two pregnancies are the same, yet every pregnancy is a wonderful blessing!

I started Motherhood with an unplanned teen pregnancy. I was young, inexperienced and ill-prepared but with some help and encouragement I eventually grew into my new role. Since then, I've celebrated my fair share of planned pregnancies. I've experienced glowing prenatal health, and I've endured hyperemesis gravidarum & preeclampsia. I've been very fit and active during pregnancy, and I've coped with weeks of bed-rest and preterm labor. I've been induced at 33 weeks out of medical necessity, and have faced leaving my fragile newborn in the NICU. I've experienced full-term spontaneous labor, and have had the honor of catching my healthy newborn myself. I've dealt with prodromal labor for weeks on end, and have had precipitous labor, where baby came in less than 1 hour. I've experienced hospital staff whisk my preemie away, and I've enjoyed the bliss of endless, undisturbed snuggles. I've had hospital births, and I've had a home birth. Medicated, and unmedicated. Assisted, and unassisted. I've experienced the heartbreak of pregnancy loss, and have basked in the joy of welcoming a precious Rainbow baby.

In the pursuit of growing our family, I've lived a whole range of pregnancy outcomes. I do not claim to be an expert on anything, rather I share all of this to say ... I can certainly relate! I understand the anticipation! The anxieties! The questions! The fear! The aches, pains and eeeverything else that accompanies pregnancy. Whether you're expecting your 1st baby or your 10th.. whether your pregnancy is an answered prayer, or came more unexpectedly.. It's my hearts desire to draw on my own experience  to help encourage, educate, validate, and support you through your reproductive journey. No matter what stage of pregnancy you're in, I'm here to offer Physical, Emotional, Informational  & Spiritual support.

My faith is an integral part of my care model. I pray to honor the Lord in all that I do. He's gently guided me towards serving women during this transformative time.

I believe that by Him, the female body was Wonderfully and Skillfully designed to bring forth life. I believe in you, and your ability to birth.

Your baby is Wonderfully Made.
You are Wonderfully Made!

"I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."   Psalm 139:14
